Hello 2025

So far this year I’ve had a dose of the Northern Irish lurgy, a dumping of snow and ice, a 5 day water shortage and the wilds of storm Eowyn. It’s probably too late to say “Happy New Year” but here’s to the rest of 2025.

Also here’s my first cake of the year - delivered to Llanrwst in the middle of a county wide water drought. Water, water everywhere, but not a drop to drink. Plenty of cake though!

Happy Birthday Gordon. Welcome to your 70s.

Gordon’s friends ordered a classic vanilla sponge with buttercream and jam for his special 70th birthday.

He’s a traditional chap so a classic & smart design in shades of pale blue were the best option with a pop of cobalt.

Matching chocolate balls in shades of blue and gold added a bit of something to the cake.
